Purpose
The goal of the Center and Institute Facilitating Fund (CIFF) grants is to fund center/institute infrastructure that will support more effective and productive collaborative efforts leading to success in receiving extramurally funded grants and/or in promoting scholarship and advancing GW’s reputation. 

In past years, CIFF awardees have used funds for critical items such as technicians’ and research assistants’ salaries and fringe benefits, equipment, and visiting scholars.

Eligibility
This program is open only to the directors of OVPR-chartered Centers and Institutes.

Deadlines 
Deadlines for the 2012-13 competition are still to be determined. Letters of intent (LOI) are typically due in mid-December and full proposals are due to acrchart@gwu.edu in late-January.
