Purpose
The goal of the Center and Institute Facilitating Fund (CIFF) grants is to fund center/institute infrastructure that will support more effective and productive collaborative efforts leading to success in receiving extramurally funded grants and/or in promoting scholarship and advancing GW’s reputation. Unilike other OVPR-sponsored intramural funds, the award period for a CIFF grant is two years.

In past years, CIFF awardees have used funds for critical items such as technicians’ and research assistants’ salaries and fringe benefits, equipment, and visiting scholars.

Eligibility
This program is open only to the directors of OVPR-chartered Centers and Institutes.

Letters of Intent can be filled out here and must be submitted by Wednesday January 16, 2013.
