The Office of the Vice President for Research has three offices to assist researchers in taking their research innovations to the next level.  From developing partnerships with industry, to commercializing technologies, to creating start-up company opportunities, the staff members in these offices are available to support researchers throughout the research innovation process.

Office of Industry and Corporate Research

The Office of Industry & Corporate Research (OICR) is the first point of contact for industry and corporate entities to form mutually beneficial research relationships with GW. OICR services are broad and include:

Technology Commercialization Office

The Technology Commercialization Office promotes and facilitates the transfer of GW innovations for the benefit of the university community and the public while leveraging GW resources through partnering with industry experts and entrepreneurs.

  • Bridge between in-house laboratory research and companies, entrepreneurs, and investors.
  • Connect university researchers with business enterprises, entrepreneurs, and unique external resources. 
  • Oversees all aspects of technology commercialization at GW

Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship

The Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship provides programming around innovation, education, venture creation, and making connections to support GW entrepreneurs and the Mid-Atlantic startup community.
