Your Centralized OVPR Support Portal

Ask OVPR is a centralized support portal for applications and services managed by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR). Whether you have a question, need assistance, want to report an issue or request a system update, Ask OVPR provides a single location to submit your request and connect with the appropriate support team.

The Ask OVPR portal currently supports:

  • myResearch
  • PI Dashboard
  • GW Documents

Additional OVPR applications and services will be incorporated into Ask OVPR in the future.

Why Use Ask OVPR?

Ask OVPR provides a consistent and efficient way to request support. Using the portal helps ensure your request is routed to the appropriate support team, tracked throughout its lifecycle, and managed through resolution. By collecting the necessary information upfront, the portal helps reduce follow-up questions and enables staff to resolve quickly and efficiently.

  • General application support
  • Technical  issues or error reporting
  • Access requests
  • Configuration or update requests

Before You Submit a Request

To help the support team process your request as efficiently as possible, gather any information that may be relevant to your request, such as:

  • The application or service your request relates to
  • A detailed description of the issue or request
  • Any applicable record, data or user identifiers
  • Screenshots of error messages, if applicable
  • Support documentation, when appropriate
Best Practices

To help us serve you more efficiently:

  • Submit one request for each unique issue or request.
  • Select the correct application when possible.
  • Include complete details and supporting documentation.
  • Attach screenshots when reporting errors.
  • Respond promptly if additional information is requested.
Submitting a Request
  1. Click the Ask OVPR Request Form.
  2. If you are requesting support on behalf of another user, please click the “Edit” button next to “Request for” and select the user needed.
  3. Select the application or service related to your request.
  4. Choose the request type that best describes your needs.
  5. Complete all required fields and any additional information when possible.
  6. Select Submit Request.

After submitting, your request will be reviewed and routed to the appropriate OVPR support team.

What Happens After Submission?

Once your request has been submitted:

  • The request is reviewed for completeness.
  • It is assigned to the appropriate OVPR support team.
  • Staff may contact you if additional information is needed.
  • Progress is tracked until the request has been completed.
  • You will be notified when your request has been resolved.
