Colleagues,
The university continues to monitor the potential impact of federal actions on our research enterprise. We are working closely with campus partners to provide direct support to impacted projects and track communications from federal sponsors.
While some executive actions are subject to pending litigation or may be subject to a temporary restraining order, investigators should continue working according to the existing terms of their awards unless they have received updated guidance from sponsoring agencies.
If you anticipate that any aspect of your sponsored project might be impacted by an executive action, please engage your school's associate dean for research for additional guidance.
Please continue to immediately forward any stop-work orders, sponsor notices, requests for certification and other relevant communications from federal funders to the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) at [email protected]. OSP will provide responses to any sponsor orders and notifications received as required.
OSP has added additional guidance to its Federal Transition Updates page. That page will be regularly updated with links to relevant executive actions, federal agency announcements, GW institutional messages and resources from professional associations.
View the Federal Transition Updates Webpage
OSP also continues to track the status of federal sponsor portals (e.g., Grants.gov and eRA Commons) and will communicate any known interruptions and outages to the research community.
Thank you for your continued partnership as the research community navigates these evolving circumstances. OVPR will continue to monitor and communicate new developments. Please reach out with questions or share feedback by emailing [email protected].
Sincerely,
Robert H. Miller
